St Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the Caribbean's best-kept secrets — a breathtaking archipelago of 32 islands and cays stretching south from the volcanic main island of St Vincent towards Grenada.
This is the Caribbean as it used to be: unspoilt, unhurried and utterly beautiful. The islands offer an extraordinary variety of experiences — from the charming capital Kingstown and the sailing haven of Bequia, to the celebrity playground of Mustique and the world-class snorkelling of Tobago Cays.
Tobago Cays National Marine Park is one of the most spectacular marine environments in the Caribbean — five uninhabited islands surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped coral reef, with sea turtles, stingrays and extraordinary coral.
Bequia is the most charming island in the Grenadines — a beautiful, hilly island with a wonderful sailing tradition, excellent beaches and a lively harbour at Port Elizabeth.
Mustique is one of the most exclusive islands in the Caribbean — a private island that has been a favourite retreat for royalty, rock stars and celebrities for over 50 years.
Kingstown is one of the most picturesque port cities in the Caribbean, with 19th-century buildings, a beautiful cathedral and the historic Fort Charlotte.
Flights to St Vincent and the Grenadines from the UK take approximately 10 hours with one stop, arriving at Argyle International Airport on St Vincent.

Tobago Cays is one of the most spectacular marine environments in the entire Caribbean — a protected national park comprising five uninhabited islands surrounded by a horseshoe-shaped coral reef. The snorkelling and diving here is extraordinary, with sea turtles, stingrays, nurse sharks, parrotfish and a dazzling variety of coral. Day trips by catamaran or yacht depart from Bequia, Union Island and other islands in the Grenadines.
Bequia is the most charming and characterful island in the Grenadines — a beautiful, hilly island with a wonderful sailing tradition, excellent beaches and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Port Elizabeth is the main town, with a picturesque harbour lined with yachts, excellent restaurants and a lively bar scene. Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay Beach are two of the finest beaches in the Grenadines.
Mustique is one of the most exclusive and glamorous islands in the Caribbean — a private island that has been a favourite retreat for royalty, rock stars and celebrities for over 50 years. The island has a small number of luxury villas and the Cotton House hotel, with pristine beaches, excellent water sports and a wonderfully exclusive atmosphere. Macaroni Beach is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
Kingstown is one of the most picturesque port cities in the Caribbean — the capital of St Vincent and the Grenadines, with a wonderful collection of 19th-century Georgian and Victorian buildings, a beautiful cathedral with famous stained glass, and the historic Fort Charlotte with spectacular views over the harbour. The Kingstown market is one of the most vibrant in the Caribbean.
St Vincent is a volcanic island with a magnificent interior of lush tropical rainforest, dramatic waterfalls and the active La Soufrière volcano (1,234m) — the highest peak in the Eastern Caribbean. The volcano last erupted in 2021. The rainforest is home to the St Vincent parrot, the national bird, and a wide variety of exotic plants and wildlife. Hiking trails lead through the forest to the volcano's crater.
Young Island is a private island resort just 200 metres off the coast of St Vincent — a beautiful 12.6-acre tropical paradise with lush gardens, pristine turquoise waters and excellent snorkelling. Canouan is one of the most exclusive islands in the Grenadines, with the magnificent Canouan Resort and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jim Fazio.
The Grenadines are one of the finest sailing destinations in the world — a chain of beautiful islands with consistent trade winds, sheltered anchorages and crystal-clear water. Bareboat and crewed yacht charters are available from Bequia, Union Island and St Vincent, with routes taking in Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau, Tobago Cays and the Tobago Cays Marine Park. The Bequia Easter Regatta is one of the largest sailing events in the South Caribbean.
Vincy Mas is St Vincent and the Grenadines' own carnival — one of the most vibrant and colourful festivals in the Caribbean. The carnival officially starts in May, with steel pan shows, competitions and street parties building to a spectacular climax in late June and early July. The Bequia Music Festival in January and the Bequia Easter Regatta at Easter are two other major events in the Grenadines calendar.
