Things To Do in Mustique

Beaches, luxury villas and the legendary atmosphere of the Caribbean's most exclusive private island.

Macaroni Beach

Macaroni Beach is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Caribbean — a stunning crescent of soft white sand on the Atlantic coast of Mustique, with crystal-clear turquoise water and a wonderfully dramatic setting. The beach is accessible to guests of the Cotton House hotel and villa renters, as well as day visitors arriving by yacht. The combination of natural beauty and exclusivity makes Macaroni Beach truly unforgettable.

Cotton House Hotel

The Cotton House is the only hotel on Mustique — a magnificent boutique property set in a beautifully restored 18th-century cotton warehouse, with just 17 rooms and suites. The hotel has a wonderful pool, excellent restaurant and direct access to the beach. The Cotton House is consistently rated among the finest boutique hotels in the Caribbean and is the perfect base for exploring the island.

Basil's Bar

Basil's Bar is one of the most legendary beach bars in the world — a simple, open-sided bar on the waterfront at Britannia Bay, which has been a favourite gathering spot for celebrities, royalty and visitors for over 40 years. The bar is famous for its Wednesday night jump-up parties and its extraordinary guest book, which reads like a who's who of global celebrity. The rum punch is legendary.

Water Sports & Beaches

Mustique has a wonderful selection of beaches and water sports. In addition to Macaroni Beach, the island has several other beautiful beaches, including L'Ansecoy Bay and Lagoon Bay. The water sports facilities are excellent, with snorkelling, diving, kayaking, paddleboarding and windsurfing all available. The coral reefs around the island are home to a wide variety of marine life.

Luxury Villas

Mustique is home to around 100 luxury private villas, many of which are available for holiday rental through the Mustique Company. The villas range from intimate cottages to spectacular multi-bedroom estates with private pools, staff and direct beach access. Past villa guests have included Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Princess Margaret and countless other celebrities. Renting a villa is the ultimate Mustique experience.
