Grenada is the Caribbean's best-kept secret — a lush, volcanic island known as the Spice Island for its nutmeg and mace, with more than 40 white sand beaches, extraordinary rainforest, a UNESCO-listed capital and the world's first underwater sculpture park. Less developed and less crowded than many Caribbean islands, Grenada offers a genuinely authentic Caribbean experience alongside world-class luxury resorts.
Grand Anse Beach is the island's most famous stretch of coastline — a 2.5-mile sweep of soft, blonde sand with crystal-clear turquoise water, just south of the capital St George's. The beach is lined with some of the island's best resorts and restaurants, and the views of the sunset from the beach are extraordinary.
St George's is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful capital cities in the Caribbean — a horseshoe-shaped harbour surrounded by colourful Georgian buildings, an 18th-century fort, a bustling market and narrow streets that climb the surrounding hills. The Carenage, the inner harbour, is lined with restaurants and bars.
The interior of the island is dominated by Grand Etang National Park — a lush, volcanic landscape of rainforest, crater lakes, waterfalls and hiking trails. The Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the Concord Falls are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean.
Grenada's Underwater Sculpture Park, near Molinière Bay, is one of the most extraordinary attractions in the Caribbean — the world's first underwater sculpture park, with dozens of life-size human figures that have become encrusted with coral and marine life.
The island's spice plantations are another distinctive attraction. Grenada is the world's second-largest producer of nutmeg, and tours of the Belmont Estate and the River Antoine Estate offer fascinating insights into the production of nutmeg, mace, cinnamon and cocoa.
Grenada has direct flights from London Gatwick, with a flight time of approximately 10 hours.

Grand Anse is one of the finest beaches in the Caribbean — a 2.5-mile sweep of soft, blonde sand with crystal-clear turquoise water, just south of the capital St George's. The beach is lined with some of the island's best resorts and restaurants, and the views of the sunset from the beach are extraordinary. It is the heart of Grenada's tourist scene.
Grenada's Underwater Sculpture Park is one of the most extraordinary attractions in the Caribbean — the world's first underwater sculpture park, located just two metres below the surface of the sea near Molinière Bay. Created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, the park features dozens of life-size human figures that have become encrusted with coral and marine life.
St George's is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful capital cities in the Caribbean — a horseshoe-shaped harbour surrounded by colourful Georgian buildings, a 18th-century fort, a bustling market and narrow streets that climb the surrounding hills. The Carenage, the inner harbour, is lined with restaurants and bars and is the social heart of the city.
Grand Etang National Park covers the mountainous interior of Grenada — a lush, volcanic landscape of rainforest, crater lakes, waterfalls and hiking trails. The Grand Etang Lake, a volcanic crater lake at 530 metres above sea level, is the centrepiece. The Seven Sisters Waterfalls and the Concord Falls are among the most beautiful in the Caribbean.
Sandals Grenada is one of the finest adults-only all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean — a luxurious beachfront resort on Pink Gin Beach with multiple restaurants, pools, a world-class spa and the full Sandals experience. The resort is set on a beautiful stretch of beach and offers exceptional value for couples seeking a luxury all-inclusive holiday.
Grenada is the world's second-largest producer of nutmeg, and the island's spice plantations are one of its most distinctive attractions. Tours of the Belmont Estate and the River Antoine Estate offer fascinating insights into the production of nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, cloves and cocoa. The River Antoine Rum Distillery, dating from 1785, is one of the oldest in the Caribbean.
Carriacou is Grenada's largest sister island — a beautiful, unspoilt island about 40km north of the mainland, accessible by ferry or small plane. With a population of just 8,000, Carriacou has a genuinely off-the-beaten-track feel, with excellent beaches, superb diving and snorkelling, and a charming capital in Hillsborough.
Morne Rouge, known locally as BBC Beach, is one of Grenada's most beautiful and tranquil beaches — a sheltered cove just south of Grand Anse with calm, clear water perfect for swimming. Less busy than Grand Anse, it has a wonderfully laid-back atmosphere and is a favourite with locals at weekends.
