Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1

What is FCK IT. BOOK IT. and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

FCK IT. BOOK IT. (FIBI) is a UK travel search and booking platform that searches multiple major holiday suppliers simultaneously — Travelpack and JTA Holidays — and displays results sorted by price, lowest first. Instead of visiting five different websites and manually comparing prices, you search once and see everything side by side. When you find a holiday you want, we send you directly to the supplier's own website to complete the booking — you book directly with them, with full ATOL/ABTA protection.

Question 2

Do you charge any booking fees?

Accepted Answer

No. We never charge a booking fee. Our service is completely free to use. We earn a small commission from suppliers when a booking is made through our links — this does not affect the price you pay. The price you see on our results page is the price you pay on the supplier's website.

Question 3

Which holiday suppliers do you search?

Accepted Answer

We currently search Travelpack and JTA Holidays. We're constantly working to add more suppliers. Each supplier is colour-coded in our results so you can see at a glance who is offering what price.

Question 4

Are the prices on your site accurate and up to date?

Accepted Answer

We pull prices directly from supplier feeds in real time, so what you see reflects current availability and pricing. However, holiday prices can change very quickly — sometimes within minutes — so we always recommend clicking through to the supplier's website to confirm the final price before booking. If a price has changed, the supplier's site will show the current price.

Question 5

Do you hold any holiday inventory or take payments?

Accepted Answer

No. We are a search and comparison platform only. We do not hold any holiday inventory, take any payments, or process any bookings. All bookings are made directly with the supplier (Travelpack and JTA Holidays, etc.) on their own website. Your contract is with the supplier, not with FCK IT. BOOK IT.

Question 6

How do I book a holiday I find on your site?

Accepted Answer

When you find a holiday you want, click the 'Book Now' button next to it. This will take you directly to the supplier's website (Travelpack and JTA Holidays, etc.) with your search pre-filled where possible. You then complete the booking directly on the supplier's site, paying them directly. The whole process takes around 10–15 minutes.

Question 7

Is my booking ATOL and ABTA protected?

Accepted Answer

Yes — all the suppliers we work with are ATOL and/or ABTA bonded. ATOL (Air Travel Organiser's Licence) protects you if the holiday company goes bust before or during your holiday. ABTA provides additional financial protection and a code of conduct. Travelpack and JTA Holidays are both ATOL and ABTA bonded. Always check the supplier's ATOL certificate number on their website before booking.

Question 8

Can I pay a deposit and pay the rest later?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most suppliers offer a low deposit option, typically £50–£150 per person, with the balance due 8–12 weeks before departure. The exact deposit amount and balance due date varies by supplier and holiday. Travelpack and JTA Holidays both offer flexible deposit schemes. Check the supplier's website for the specific terms for your chosen holiday.

Question 9

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

Payment methods are determined by the individual supplier, not by us. Most suppliers accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Some also accept PayPal. Paying by credit card gives you additional Section 75 consumer protection for purchases over £100 — we recommend using a credit card where possible.

Question 10

Can I book for a group or large party?

Accepted Answer

Yes — most suppliers can accommodate groups of 10 or more, though you may need to call them directly for larger groups rather than booking online. For groups of 20+, specialist group booking departments can often negotiate better rates. Call us on 01282 960 460 and we can point you in the right direction.

Question 11

How do I search for a holiday?

Accepted Answer

Use the search form on our homepage or any destination page. Enter your destination (or choose from the dropdown), your departure airport, travel dates and number of passengers. Click Search and we'll show you results from all our suppliers sorted by price. You can filter by star rating, board basis (all-inclusive, half board, etc.), duration and more.

Question 12

Can I search for all-inclusive holidays specifically?

Accepted Answer

Yes — use the 'Board Basis' filter on the results page to show only all-inclusive holidays. We have an excellent selection of all-inclusive holidays across all destinations, particularly in Turkey, Spain, Greece and the Caribbean.

Question 13

Can I search for holidays from a specific airport?

Accepted Answer

Yes — select your departure airport in the search form. We cover all major UK airports including London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, East Midlands and more.

Question 14

What if I cannot find my destination in the search?

Accepted Answer

Our search covers hundreds of destinations worldwide. If you cannot find a specific destination, try searching for the country or region (e.g. 'Greece' rather than a specific island). You can also browse our destination pages for inspiration and use the supplier links there to search directly. If you still cannot find what you are looking for, call us on 01282 960 460.

Question 15

Can I search for last-minute holidays?

Accepted Answer

Yes — simply set your departure date to within the next 2–4 weeks. Last-minute holidays can offer excellent value as suppliers discount unsold inventory. Our results are sorted by price so the best last-minute deals appear at the top.

Question 16

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation policies are set by the individual supplier (Travelpack and JTA Holidays, etc.), not by us. Most package holidays have a sliding scale of cancellation charges — the closer to departure, the higher the charge. Typically: more than 70 days before departure, you lose your deposit only. Within 70 days, charges increase to 100% of the holiday cost. Always check the supplier's specific terms and conditions before booking. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance at the time of booking.

Question 17

Can I change my holiday after booking?

Accepted Answer

Amendment policies vary by supplier. Most suppliers allow changes to dates, room type, board basis and passenger names for a fee. Changes to flights are more complex and may incur airline change fees in addition to the supplier's admin fee. Contact the supplier directly to make any changes to your booking — their contact details will be in your booking confirmation.

Question 18

What happens if the supplier cancels my holiday?

Accepted Answer

If the supplier cancels your holiday (e.g. due to the hotel closing, flight cancellation, or the supplier going out of business), you are entitled to a full refund or an alternative holiday of equivalent value. ATOL protection ensures you receive a refund if the supplier becomes insolvent. Contact the supplier immediately if your holiday is cancelled.

Question 19

Do I need travel insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we strongly recommend taking out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, not just before departure. Good travel insurance covers cancellation (including for medical reasons), medical expenses abroad (which can be extremely expensive, particularly in the USA), lost or stolen luggage, and travel delays. Do not travel without insurance.

Question 20

Do I need a passport to travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes — a valid passport is required for all international travel from the UK. Most countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. Check your passport expiry date well in advance — passport renewal currently takes 3–6 weeks. A passport card is not accepted for air travel.

Question 21

Do I need a visa?

Accepted Answer

Visa requirements depend on your destination and nationality. UK passport holders do not need a visa for most popular holiday destinations (EU countries, Turkey with e-Visa, USA with ESTA, etc.). Always check the latest visa requirements on the UK government's foreign travel advice website (gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice) before booking. Requirements can change.

Question 22

What is ETIAS and do I need it for Europe?

Accepted Answer

ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is the EU's pre-travel authorisation system for visa-exempt travellers, similar to the US ESTA. It is expected to be introduced in 2025 for UK passport holders travelling to EU Schengen countries. It will cost approximately €7 and be valid for 3 years. Check the latest information on the EU's official ETIAS website before booking European travel.

Question 23

What documents do I need to take on holiday?

Accepted Answer

You will need: your passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond return date), your booking confirmation (email or printed), your travel insurance documents, any visa or ESTA/ETIAS documentation, your EHIC or GHIC card (for EU travel), and any vaccination certificates required by your destination. Keep digital copies of all documents in your email or cloud storage.

Question 24

Who is behind FCK IT. BOOK IT.?

Accepted Answer

FCK IT. BOOK IT. is a UK-based travel search platform run by a small team of travel enthusiasts who got fed up with the complexity and confusion of booking holidays online. Our mission is simple: make finding and booking the best-value holiday as quick and painless as possible. We are based in Nottingham.

Question 25

How do you make money if the service is free?

Accepted Answer

We earn a small commission from suppliers when a booking is made through our links. This is standard practice in the travel industry and does not affect the price you pay — the price you see is the price you pay. Our commission comes from the supplier's marketing budget, not from your pocket.

Question 26

How can I contact you?

Accepted Answer

You can reach us by phone on 01282 960 460 (Monday–Friday 9am–6pm, Saturday 9am–5pm), by email at hello@fckitbookit.co.uk, or through the contact form on our website. We aim to respond to all emails within 24 hours on working days.

Question 27

Can I suggest a new destination or supplier?

Accepted Answer
