Silhouette Island has the most extensive ancient hardwood forest in the Seychelles — a primeval forest of takamaka, bois de natte and other endemic trees that has been largely undisturbed for centuries. The forest is home to extraordinary biodiversity, including endemic birds, reptiles and insects found nowhere else on earth.
The Hilton Seychelles Labriz is the only resort on Silhouette Island — a beautiful property with beach villas, overwater villas, exceptional dining and a world-class spa. The resort has exclusive access to the entire island and offers a range of nature-based experiences, including guided forest walks, turtle watching and snorkelling.
The coral reefs around Silhouette Island are among the most pristine in the Seychelles — the island's remoteness and the limited number of visitors means the reefs have been less affected by tourism. The diving and snorkelling is exceptional, with extraordinary coral formations, abundant marine life and excellent visibility.
Silhouette Island has a population of Aldabra giant tortoises — the largest tortoises in the world. The tortoises roam freely around the resort and the surrounding forest. Encounters with these extraordinary animals are one of the highlights of a stay on Silhouette Island.
Silhouette Island is one of the most important hawksbill turtle nesting beaches in the Seychelles. The turtles nest on the beaches between October and February. The Hilton resort participates in turtle conservation and guests can join guided turtle watching excursions during the nesting season.
Silhouette Island offers a level of privacy and isolation that is rare even in the Seychelles — with just one resort and no day visitors, the island feels completely private. The beaches are deserted, the forest is undisturbed and the sense of being in a truly wild and unspoilt place is extraordinary.
Silhouette Island has several beautiful beaches — Anse Mondon, Anse La Passe and Anse Patates are all stunning, with fine white sand, clear water and the extraordinary granite boulders that characterise the Seychelles. The beaches are completely uncrowded.
The Hilton Seychelles Labriz has several excellent restaurants, including a celebrated overwater restaurant and a beach barbecue. The food focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients — the seafood is exceptional. The dining experience is enhanced by the extraordinary natural setting.
