Everything you need to know about snorkelling and diving the world's first underwater sculpture park.

The Sculpture Park

Grenada's Underwater Sculpture Park is one of the most extraordinary attractions in the Caribbean — the world's first underwater sculpture park, created by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. Located near Molinière Bay, the park features dozens of life-size human figures that have become encrusted with coral and marine life over the years, creating a living, evolving artwork.

Snorkelling

The Underwater Sculpture Park is accessible by snorkel — the sculptures are located just two metres below the surface, making them easily visible to snorkellers. The clear, calm water of Molinière Bay provides excellent visibility. Several operators offer snorkelling trips to the park from Grand Anse Beach and other locations around the island.

Scuba Diving

The Underwater Sculpture Park is one of the most popular scuba diving sites in Grenada. The sculptures are located at depths of 2–5 metres, making them accessible to divers of all levels. The park is part of a larger marine protected area with excellent coral reefs, diverse marine life and several other dive sites nearby.

Molinière Bay Marine Reserve

Molinière Bay is a protected marine reserve with some of the best snorkelling and diving in Grenada. The bay has excellent coral reefs, a wide variety of fish species, sea turtles, rays and other marine life. The calm, clear water and the protection of the reserve make it one of the finest marine environments in the Caribbean.

Dive Operators

Several excellent dive operators offer trips to the Underwater Sculpture Park and other dive sites around Grenada. Dive Grenada, Scuba West Indies (based at Calabash Grenada) and EcoTrek are among the most highly regarded. Most operators offer both snorkelling and scuba diving trips, with equipment hire and instruction available.
