West Bay is the hotel and commercial heart of Doha and the best base for visitors. All the major attractions (Souq Waqif, The Pearl, Katara, Museum of Islamic Art) are 10–20 minutes by taxi. The Corniche is best walked in the early morning or evening. October to April is the best time to visit — the summer heat (May to September) makes outdoor activities very uncomfortable. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the most convenient transport.
