Surfing
Mount Irvine is home to one of the best surf breaks in the Caribbean — a world-class right-hand point break that produces excellent waves from October to March. The surf break is suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers, with waves of up to 2 metres during the best swells. Surfboard hire and surf lessons are available locally. The beach is also excellent for swimming when the surf is smaller.
Mount Irvine Golf Course
The Mount Irvine Bay Hotel Golf Course is one of the finest golf courses in the Caribbean — an excellent 18-hole course set in beautiful tropical gardens, with views over the Caribbean Sea. The course is open to non-residents and is a wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon in Tobago. The combination of excellent golf and spectacular scenery makes Mount Irvine a popular destination for golfing holidays.
Snorkelling & Diving
The water at Mount Irvine is excellent for snorkelling and diving, with a wide variety of marine life visible just offshore. The rocky edges of the bay are particularly good for snorkelling, with colourful fish, sea fans and coral formations. Diving excursions to the spectacular reefs around Tobago can be arranged through dive operators in the area.
