The Beach
Jalousie Beach is widely regarded as one of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches in the entire Caribbean — a stunning crescent of dark volcanic sand nestled between Gros Piton and Petit Piton, with the dramatic peaks rising on either side. The beach has a wonderfully dramatic, almost otherworldly atmosphere. A portion of the beach is reserved for guests of the Sugar Beach resort, but non-guests are welcome on the public section.

Snorkelling & Diving
The waters around Jalousie Beach are among the best for snorkelling and diving in the Caribbean. The Piton Wall dive site, just offshore from Petit Piton, is one of the most dramatic dives in the Caribbean — a sheer underwater cliff dropping to over 50 metres.
Views of the Pitons
One of the great pleasures of Jalousie Beach is the extraordinary view of the Pitons from the water. The twin peaks rise dramatically on either side of the beach, creating a backdrop that is unlike anywhere else in the world. The view is particularly spectacular at sunrise and sunset, when the peaks are bathed in golden light. A catamaran cruise along the coast offers the best views of both the beach and the Pitons.
Getting There
Jalousie Beach is located near Soufrière on the southwest coast of St Lucia, about 1.5 hours from Rodney Bay by road. The beach can also be reached by water taxi from Soufrière or by catamaran cruise from Rodney Bay. The road to Jalousie Beach passes through some of the most dramatic scenery on the island, with spectacular views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea.
